It is a pretty cool game, not as good as Everquest IMO, but there are some things I really liked about it. First, no zoning. This means you run where you see, which is how real life works (with exception of dungeons). Plus, you do not get pidgeonholed into a particular magic class depending on your race, all players can cast all magics.
Things I did not like:
Magic requires reagents, which means you have to carry around a bunch of herbs and stuff and if you run out of one, cannot cast the spell. While this may be more similar to D&D, it caused me to spend more time on inventory control than I would have liked. Also, there are not a variety of races in this game, you are basically one of three types of humans. The mobs (creatures) not reminiscent of D&D either, but they are unique which is kinda refreshing I guess.
Overall a nice game, if it is free then you have no risk because I believe there is a 30 day trial period before you have to start paying the subscription cost.
