Greetings,

It has come to our attention that your account appears to have too much money, it also appears that you may be compromised from buying gold or associated with gold dealers.

As you may or may not be aware of, this conflicts with the EULA and Terms of Agreement.

The investigation will be continued by Blizzard administration to determine the action to be taken against your account. If your account is found violating the EULA and Terms of Use, your account can, and will be suspended/closed/or terminated.

If you wish to not get your account suspended you should immediately verify your account. We need to confirm you are the original owner of the account. This is easiest done by confirming your personal information along with concealed information about your account.

Please use the following template below to verify your account and information via email.

* First and Last name
* Address
* Zip code
* Phone number Daytime
* Country
* Account e-mail
* CD-key
* Account name
* Account password
* Secret Question and Answer

If you ignore this communication your account can and will be closed permanently due to suspicions of alternative ownership. We ask that during the investigation you give approximately twenty-four hours of inactivity after sending a response email. This should provide enough time for Blizzard to confirm your identity and that the TOS are being followed as outlined.

Thank you for respecting our position on this matter.

Obviously a scam, Blizzard doesn't need to ask you these kind of questions they already have it. This becomes increasingly obvious as you don't play WoW.

When ever a company asks for your information in an email its a scam. They already have it all in their databases ( some exceptions )

Just send them your credit card info and your SSN so they can verify that you don't actually have an account. They'll leave you alone after that.

if you notice the from says blizzard.com but the reply to says support-blizzard.com.

i'm guessing that's not an actual blizzard address.

Does every phishing scam need to be posted here?

I don't get ATOT's love for posting scam emails either. It's not like we've never seen one before. Even worse is when it's an obvious scam - i don't play wow but they are asking for my info...WTF?!?!?!?!?

The other annoying thing is "this scammer is emailing me. what can i do mess with him?" - JUST IGNORE THE FUCKER.

Reply to that email asking them if you can pay them money to keep your account open. :) String them along. See if you can get them to send you a stamped self-addressed envelope (it's winter time and you can't get to the post office in your wheelchair.) If you do this and update this thread, it *might* be worth it. Otherwise, do we need EVERY phishing attempt cut and pasted here??

blizzard does not use:

wowaccountadmin@support-blizzard.com

any email address with support-blizzard.com

in fact.. if blizz thought your account was compromised, they would LOCK IT.. and tell you to call them. they will NEVER ask for any info via email.

EVERYONE KNOWS THIS <-- wholly appropriate

"I really can NOT lose this account! :( Please! My friend said he heard that you can pay a small fine to keep your account open, can I just do that instead? I swear I didn't know associating with gold dealers was against rules. How much to keep my account open?

Thx!"

Just desperate enough to be believable?
