I've had a crazy life... pretty crappy for the most part. I got an email the other day from a girl claiming to be my sister. I knew I had sisters who lived in Europe whom I'd never met. I replied, not sure what to expect. She replied back today with pictures of herself and her family and I cried when I saw them, it's so crazy to hear from someone who is your blood, and see them for the first time ever (I'm 25 years old).

Turns out she's in contact with one other sister, and a brother. I'm not sure if they are related to me. My sister has three kids, which means I am also an uncle now.

I haven't responded yet, but I will. I'm happy to see that she's doing well despite the ****** lives me and my siblings had early on in our childhoods.

That said, although it may pain you do do so, be weary of random contacts. The internet is a haven for wwrongdoers these days, so be vigilant.

Hoepfully...hopefully, this might be the beginning fo a fruitful family relationship:)

I've been going through something like this the past several years. I've tracked down my birth parents and their children. It's really weird and exciting and you get more emotional about it than you'd expect you would.

hahahha.. well I decided to check that email address as a result of the insomnia. I don't normally check it, my inbox has over 900 messages, most of it not spam, user lists that i subscribe to.

If you know my real name it's pretty easy to find my email address on google. She knew some details about me that only certain family members know...

Why would someone want to pretend to be my sister anyways?

My father-in-law severed contact with his family after having sued for divorce from his parents and won. Occasionally my wife gets in contact with a long lost relative she never knew she had.

Family can ground and orient us, it's unfortunate when they're sh!t, all you can do is endeavor to rise from the ashes really.

I wish this would happen to me. I have a brother I dont know.....all I know is that his name is James and he lives somewhere in Tennessee. I would try to find him, but the problem is that hes only like ten or eleven. ugh......maybe ill wait till he turns 18. That would be the smart thing to do.

He probably doesnt even know about me. His mom took off before he was born.

I used to think that I had a weird family, and when I grew up I found out that I was right. We all get along, there aren't any black sheep, and the occasional family get-togethers are just casual, fun times, not battlegrounds. Turns out that's pretty unusual:p

This despite a rather broad range of ideologies.

My mom was adopted...she found her biological mother about eight years ago, and I got a whole new set of relatives all of a sudden. I also have a half-brother in Hawaii. All good people.

......... no offense, but you know this reminds me of that one movei, Imaginary Heroes?

alright, I mean it for real this time. if it means that much to you, you call them up and make plans on visiting them. otherwise, screw the e-mail gizmo thing all together.

cyber world will take over your life if you don't live reality.
