I just got the TI-83+ Silver Edition from Best Buy and I'm wondering if you guys ahve any good games. I'd suspect many of you play more games than actually using it, hehe.

Also, do you have any tips or neat things to do with it? I've seen people type 0's and 1's a lot of times to get the matrix effect to an extent. Also, any websites that have a collection of things related to this calculator? BTW, it did come with an cable to connect it to the computer.

Hmm, i can't give you any websites, but there are good versions of tetris, pac-man, frogger, and galaxian. One fun thing to do is make a program that repeatedly say "You have a virus!"

2 words: it is a calculator..... ok 4 words.

If you want to play games, why not get a PDA? Graphing calculators are the poor man's PDA. Though they aren't as cheap as they used to be...

Well, I figure that since in school I need the calculator anyway, why not just enjoy it?

Well, actually I got it at the TI-83+ price. First, I bought the silver and then I noticed target had it for like $10 less the next weekend along with the TI-83+ next to it in a larger picture. I cut out that part of the flyer, took it to best buy and the lady price matched my silver to the TI-83+. I got really lucky there.

But check target, they were $10 cheaper than Best Buy.

What is the big deal about the ti-83 plus "silver" ? I had a regular Ti-83 plus... a lot of people had the "silver" edition, and it seems to be the exact same thing, only it's not 100% black and it has more RAM.

For like $10 more you could have purchased a TI-89, which I value MUCH MUCH MUCH more highly than any 83, silver or not.
