Just got a sound card, want to test it

I just got a good deal on an Audigy2 Value for $20, I am upgrading from onboard AC97. What's a good, yet easy, way to test the CPU Utilization and possibly sound quality? Is the sound test in 3dmark03 any good?
 
Some game that utilizes EAX, like UT2004. I guess it's too late to do a before and after performance/sound quality test if you already installed it.

I got it yesterday and haven't had time to install it, so it's not too late. I'll probably install tonight.
