Just bought some sound proof stuff don`t know what it`s called, It`s a bout 5/8 of an inche think. I'll try it and see how good it works! I'll let you guys know.

Cost me $15 as rona and $5 for the tape. I read this on Apu's Hardware. He said it worked pretty good.

WOW this stuff is amazing. It must of reduced the noise on my moms computer by more then half! Well the name of it is in frence, "Pannau Acust. Son." that's the name on it on my recite. I still think the stuff that they used on apu's hardware is better. Because the stuff I got is green and really messy. It makes this little green powder.

I don't have a digital camera here at my moms, once I get back home and do my case I'll take pictures, they are goign to suck though cus it's a cheep digital camara. My moms case is an In-Win S500. I stuck the stuff every where I could except where the opening for the fan is at the front (that little with box).

Edit: the tape didn't work good cus of the fibers it would stick.

Bought it at Rona. I`m in canada though don`t knwo if they have it in the states. All I hear now is the power supply fan! This stuff really works great.

RONA is a Canadian chain of hardware stores like Home Hardware. The name comes from the first names of its two founders, Roland and Napoléon. :)

BTW, the name probably refers to panneau acoustique, which means acoustic pannel, wall, partition. ;)

It would actually improve airflow.
Less space to blow by, and directs it more towards the CPU/vid card area.

Yeah, My moms got a cheep pc a celeron 600 with an intel willow motherboard, so it's got no temp readings on the cpu, but after the pc has been on for a few hours the air that comes out of the power supply gets hot. After I installed the acoutsic stuff or what ever it's called, I have never noticed any hot air coming out of the back.
