I HATE most mouse pads b/c they are rarely large enough. My hand wanders a lot and its annoying to have the mouse run off the pad. So i picked this thing up for about $22 at a CompUSA (going out of Business) and really like it.

The 2 surfaces don't seem to make a huge difference, but its nice to go back and forth for some variety. The wrist pad is nice too... cushy and relatively small.

I highly recommend!

I won a Steelpad S&S in a contest; best mousepad I've ever seen. I think it's 12x10 inches or thereabouts, high grip surface on the back to hold onto the desk, smooth black plastic on the front. Now that I've used it, I'll never go back to a midget mousepad.

I use a pretty small mousepad for my MX518 and never had the issues of running off the surface. It only takes about 1.5" of horizontal movement to move the cursor across my entire screen.

Its not as easy to make that claim when you photoshop a lot

I took a long look at the razer mat. But I decided on the Everglide Titan DKT instead. I really wanted a much larger mouse pad as I'm tired as having to pick up my mouse when I'm in the heat of the game. Plus, it can act as a desk pad when I'm using my work laptop at home. It's a great mousing surface, provided you have a spacious desktop.

Or if you do FPS gaming with sniping? Good luck.

I've had my eXact mat for a while now, and I'm glad i invested the $30 to get it. I bought this at the same time as an MX518 and when i use computers at school or at friends' houses I think feel like I'm spoiled by my own.
