But I only actually need about $1000, which means I have about 600-700 for whatever. I don't have any debts, loans, bills, or payments I need to spend it on, my credit card is fully paid off, so what should I do with it?

I'm thinking Newegg something, but I'm open to other ideas

With that kind of money, you could leave Oklahoma.

I'm not leaving Oklahoma (ok technically I am, for the trip)

I have a job that will give me $1700 for a ten day trip that they KNOW will only cost me 1k. I do my job well so they treat me well. I'm sticking around for awhile :p

This is why people are broke today. "I have extra money, where should I spend it."

If there is nothing you need, bank it! Someone knock some sense into op.

Save. No reason to spend money just for the sake of it... Especially with an economy that's constantly degrading.

Wrong, the whole reason we're in a depression is because people like you aren't spending. So OP, do your patriotic duty and spend, spend, spend!

Companies don't help the situation by laying people off.

QFT. Come talk to us about a depression when unemployment reaches 25% nationwide.

And the company I work for just secured contracts for about 2-3 years more work easily, so I'm not too worried about job security, even given the economic state. I usually save excess on my paycheck, but spend my excess per diem money
