Just got a Nook HD+, which ROM should i use?

According to xda, third party launchers and keyboards work fine with the new update. Considering this is a 9" tablet that can be had for $150, now with stock android features OOB, it's very hard to beat.

I'm very happy with mine on CM10, but I'm curious to see how the stock update is. I'm waiting until the geniuses at xda figure everything out before risking my root/ROM abilities.

Where can it be had at this price?

It was a very limited run (ended 4/30) at select stores in three states. It was an unannounced discount. I'm not sure why Zaap referred to it like he did, because he made it sound like that's the new norm and ANYBODY could have got that price.

That said, the 16gig version is reportedly going for 199 at walmart and starting tomorrow it includes a $20 giftcard too.

To be clear, the display is 1920x1280.

I've had the tablet since xmas and love the display - it's terrific for reading ( which was my primary interest. )

I'm running CM10 SD Hybrid and it works 'good enough.'

Web browsing on it is slow - just like my Kindle Fire and my Galaxy S3.

By 'can be had' I meant it could possibly be found at that price, not that it was ever the norm for everyone.

Anyway, my bad, I didn't realize that sale was over.

Even at $269 this tablet is a great deal now that it has Play access. (Previously it was impossible to recommend for anyone to just use stock.)

I updated my stock yesterday (didn't affect CM10 hybrid install at all) and Play store access works just as expected. Third party launchers and keyboards work fine as well. Kindle app works fine too.

I stil prefer CM10 as stock has too many traces of B&N bloat that I don't care for, but all in all I'd say it'd be hard to find as good a 9" tablet with this nice a screen for < $300.

For anyone interested in a deal, I'd keep an eye on B&N. I have a feeling that allowing Play access and their recent deals are signs they are giving up their own tablet market hoop dream and may eventually just liquidate their hardware if the current measures don't result in more sales.
