OK, well, as expected the screen and camera are great! Like it a lot. I can see myself taking a lot of pics with this phone.

Anyway...... I upgraded from an S4, that I liked as well, I've never had a cover / protector on it.

I spent around 500 for this phone, and am a little worried about it. Just the camera on the back sticking out to me seems like if I just set it down on my wooden kitchen table or beat up nightstand ... can it be easily scratched?

I use to carry around my s4 all the time in my pocket, even with my keys sometimes, no noticeable scratches that I really know of. I just used it like any other phone, never dropped it.

I've heard from some people that the glass (back) can get slippery when wet, sweat? hmmm... so if you live in a high humidity place, more than likely the back will become slippery?

Sigh, dunno if I'm just being overly paranoid about the device, I can't imagine the S6, any worse off (as far as scratches go) than the S4...

So, what do you guys recommend? Go naked or get some sort of case protection? I normally don't like covers or cases, but I could see maybe getting something for the back if it indeed is slippery.

Thanks!

You NEED a case for any of the new samsung devices, glass front and back panels? Yeah any slight drop will crack those. Case is a necessity.

Just got myself a Note5 on monday and I have my case coming in a few days, mine is new enough where cases weren't out yet when I got my phone so I had no choice but to wait a few days, otherwise I would have had it in a case on day 1.

Is there a significant difference in quality between the s4's camera and the s6's camera?

I don't have a case on my note 4 and the camera has a little scratch on it that I just notced..lol. It's not over the lens though so it hasn't affected pictures.

I've used a couple other phones with glass on both sides without cases (iphone 4 and nexus 4) and didn't have either break despite dropping them a bunch of times but I probably got really lucky.

sorry for the late reply, got a case, spigen, just put it on today. not bad. still pretty much is very thin and doesn't take away the phone experience, tho, I feel it protects the camera better it's still prone to scratches but better than nothing.

One reason why I got the s6 was because of the camera, low light, OSI, faster, more mega pixels, etc...etc... But the S4 camera is pretty good, just prefer the s6 obviously.

But my reasoning for the S6 to begin with, was a phone that had the best camera and the best screen resolution. I just don't want to lug around two devices that I need to have charged up. I use my phone for mostly checking emails or texting, reading the news, I hardly even use it as a phone! But of course I do call a few people occasionally.
