HP is having a great deal on their dv2700tse notebooks. $300 off the notebook when you configure it over $1199. I ended up paying $1230 with tax and shipping. Here are the specs

- HP Pavilion dv2700t SpecialEdition NB PC
- Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)
- Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T7500 (2.20 GHz, 4 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
- 14.1" WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800)
- 3GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
- 50% OFF 128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS!!
- HP Imprint Finish (Verve) + Fingerprint Reader + Webcam + Microphone
- Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
- 120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
- SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
- No TV Tuner w/remote control
- 12 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
- Microsoft(R) Works 9.0
- HP 14" Reversible Notebook Sleeve

I was deciding between this notebook and the Dell XPS M1530. To get a similarly configured Dell it would have cost me near $1500 with tax and shipping. The $200+ I saved was enough to sway me over to HP. I should have the notebook by Jan. 22 which is nice. Let me know what you guys think.

If they had the option for a 1440x900 display for that laptop, i would buy one right now....
