I drove a 1994 Integra GS-R sedan for a little over a year way back when (parents bought it for my sister, then I got it when she got a new car) and it sure was a fun car!

From some angles, those door ding protector strip things make it look like all of your doors are open a little.

No interior pics?

How's the highway noise level? Stock stereo? Shifting .. does it really kick you in the pants if you downshift to 2nd and floor it at 45mph?

highway noise is loud but manageable. i'm doing around 3500rpm at 70 (from memory, will check next time). i stick it on cruise control and its fine, but if i'm driving then my heavy left foot makes it a bit noisier....

stock stereo is a 350watt, 7 speaker deal. tweeters at the windshield, speakers in the front doors, and 2 more + an 8" sub in the rear deck. Its good enough for my purposes. has an aux in port and a pc-card reader. i'll probably add an ipod integration kit sometime soon so i can control it from the steering wheel.

it also has the nav system with voice recognition which works very well..

and yes, there's quite a kick from a downshift to 2nd :D

Take it to the track (road course)! If you lived in California, I'd meet up with you at a track day. I zoomed around Laguna Seca in my TSX with my buddy driving a Si Coupe (TSX's track duty has since been replaced with an SRT-4 though). Fun front driver!

Cool car. I drove the coupe when I was car shopping. I decided the faster and less frantic V6 Accord fit my everyday needs better, but with even slightly different requirements, the Si sedan would have been the more appealing choice. I have no doubt you will love this car.

word of advice

let the car warm up (when you first start it)
3 of my coworkers purchased the 06-07 si's

all 3 of them have the trans kick out of 3 gear (nice grinding on the clutches)

it's been a known problem with the si's and rsx but honda wont do anything about it..:)

congrats on your purchase they are nice cars!!

Some advice - consider a bra for it for the winter. I bought a new black Mazda6 last year and all of the stone chips from a Pittsburgh winter killed the front end of my car. I don't know what it is about PenDOT, but they love to throw down the gravel. I just moved to VA and am considering getting the front end of my car repainted.

Or consider a clear-bra type. I hate those ugly-ass black bras on any car. The only valid use IMO is what a friend did - he put it on his Evo before a cross-country month-long road trip. Regular bra + long term use =

I've been considering a bra for my car too... but I know what you mean about the color, but an advantage is if you have a black car already, so black on black wouldn't be too bad. I mean, I had one with my old Talon and that car was a pearl silver color. It wasn't too bad, but I ended up taking it off :p.

Congrats on the car! I'll have to check out the hot pix later!

Welcome to the club

OP good job on getting the 4dr Si compared to the coupe. 4 doors do definitely come in handy even if it doesn't look as sporty. The weight difference is negligible so I think getting the sedan is the better choice.

yeah...i live in a house with 5 other people, so i definitely needed the extra space. (doesn't matter that 3 of them also have cars...if we go, we go together)

no tracks in the nearby area that i know of. I will have to do some research.

and as for the winter/gravel comment, I actually have the summer tires on this (kinda stupid, but its the only one they had left). so i'll just park it in the garage for a couple of weeks in the winter.

and yes, i always wait for it to get halfway on the temp gauge before i start moving. it only takes ~5 mins.

bigpow, it is a 6speed. the gearing is still quite short though
