One of the top three things I do on my computer is talk to my freinds on AIM. I turn oin my new macbook and ichat is absolutely rediculous....it gets rid of all of your buddy lists! so its just like one big list...cant deal with that. Then i download AIM...its nice and good...except that u hafta go into the people thing on top to put on an away message AND its sooo hard to check peoples away messages quickly because there is no right mouse button so you hafta click info for each person. What do I do?> Shoudl I return this computer just becuase I cant deal with these crazy quirks? Anyone have any ideas of how to fix them? Thanks

Use an alternative IM client such as Adium or Fire; google them up. AOL hasn't updated the AIM client for Mac OSX in a long, long time afaik. I use my AOL screen name in Adium just fine every day, and it looks much, much better than AIM for OSX.

As far as your right mouse button issue, go into the System Preferences, then to Keyboard & Mouse, then Trackpad; in here, turn on "Tap trackpad using two fingers for secondary click". There you go, tap two fingers at the same time on the trackpad to right click.

I had similar problems when I got an iBook G4. It had 10.1 I think.

A day of google showed me that Mac is not very popular with the freeware/shareware crowd. Its tough to find programs for specific needs. I'm grateful they made Microsoft Office for Apple, but there was always something else.
Eventually I gave up and RMA'd the laptop.
