I was expecting this mouse to be so awesome but my hand must not be meant for it. It is all well except for the little ridge that runs on the right side of the mouse. My ring finger rests there and that little ridge really bothers me. It's so uncomfortable I cant stand to play a game longer than 20 minutes. I've tried resting my ring finger on top of the mouse with my index and middle finger but it just gets in the way and feels unnatural. I want to like this mouse, I really do. I dont know if it is something I can get used to or adapt to over time. I really dont want to return it, but I may have to.

The buttons are nice although I found that after installing the Mouseware software I have to turn the sensitivity up a lot more in games to reach what I had before. The strange thing is, in windows it is the same as before.

i didn't like it
i got an intellimouse 4.0, and like it much better

I'm still trying to get used to it, I think its getting a little better. The only reason I did not get an intellimouse explorer is because of the scroll wheel and the availible colors, but mainly the scroll wheel.

Personal preference I guess.

I personally really like the shape and comfort. Couldn't stand any M$ mice.

Same. My pinky goes under the ridge, and my ring finger rests comfortably above it, alongside my middle finger. No complaints.

Bzeto give it some time. Depending on your hand it will take time to get used to it. Your hand will naturally move to fit itself. I recently bought mine and it took 2-3 weeks before i was used to it. i had the exact same problem as you.

i bought a mx300 since i was already used to the logitech blue mouse shape and my blue had finally given out. I really like it, but have had problems with 'ergonomic' mice, and while i could get used to it (as i'm sure you will) i decided to go with what worked.

work out the settings, change some things and you will like it. I didnt like the design for the first week, it was pretty uncomfortable but now Im used to it and cannot go back to any other mouse. Awesome mouse for everything, and if your a game, then this is a must.

Ihave had the 500 for years now and my hands always hurt... but the MX sensor is sooo awesome I could never go back to microsoft.... I owned 4

I'm actually mouse shopping as we speak because I've damn near worn this one out
