Just got a leather wallet that was made in India.

I thought cows were sacred there?

Isn't it against the law there with cows???

Could be human leather.

Cows are (generally) sacred there (it really depends on your religion, there are more than Hindus and variant sects in the country).

Cows / bulls are not *killed* for leather or food, but when they die, they can be used.

There is a cast of "untouchables" that do leather tanning and craft. Indian shoes, belts, wallets & such are actually pretty good quality.

I have some shoes and sandals that I got on my first trip there that are extremely comfortable and in great shape for as much as I wear 'em.

Thank you Sir

I hate that I've never gotten off this rock.

I know a lot of folks would love to see me get off of it and not come back too
