Just Got A Cool Meter Long Stick

I've used feet and yards to measure length all my life but I'm trying to transition into meters because that's the measurement most of my favorite videos games use, such as the Arma series, Call of Duty series and Assassin's Creed series.

It costed $12 on Amazon.

I know this is childish 😆 but I wanted to get my former roommate the same meter stick so the next time we meet up we can play sword fights with the rulers.
 
Oh man been a while since I seen one of those. Thankfully I was a good kid in class and was never on the receiving end of that. Sometimes the teacher also used it to measure things and draw straight lines on the chalk board.
 
Good to have metric and imperial tools. Make sure you get a hybrid tool belt so you can mix and match imperial and metric on same belt.

Heh... Kind of related, I was thinking a metrestick is the dumbest shit ever, and you could cut a piece of rope a metre long, and get the same thing.

Metric is great for doing shit on your own, custom making everything, but here in Neanderthaler Neu, it's as useful as measuring in cubits when you have to buy stuff measured for cavemen.

How do people do square measures?

Like 34 yards 2foot 10⅘inch by 54 yards 1foot 8¾inches in square feet?

Surveying in the civil sphere uses decimal feet, so it's halfway sane. Architectural uses fractions, cause an architect is just a civil engineer that's had his brains beaten out. I swear to christ, an architect couldn't get a simple square to mathmatically close if his life depended on it.

Highway construction you get a fun mix of both. Almost everything is decimal feet except bridges, which are usually fractional, so the first thing you have to do is convert everything to decimal so you can actually use it.

Pisses me off that we never converted to metric. I have no proof, but I suspect it's the southern fuckwits that held us back, because their sole purpose in life is to retard progress and make everything shitty.
