Weird question I know.
But since the cable is now hooked to the computer, i just thought there my be some software that would allow me to watch tv on the monitor.

What is Microsoft WebTV, I think you may need a TV Card and Intercast software to make it work, but it may be worth looking at.

Contrary to what you may think, cable internet access merely uses the cable as a means of transportation of digital signals. A different means than the TV signal. It rides piggyback like DSL does on a phone line. Only the splitter box is all taken care of at the node. That's what I thought, I could watch TV on the puter, but noooo.. that probably costs extra or there's no way to do it now :T

I think u can, get a spliter, connect the cable to it, and one wire to the tv tuner, and the other to the modem

Kotchy,
I was trying to avoid buying a tv tuner card. I was just hoping that since the cable is hooked to the modem I could just use some software that would allow me to watch tv on the monitor.
