Running on Abit NF7-s v2.0 with a mobile 2400+ mobile oc'ed to 3200+, 2 hd's, 2 120mm fans and one 92mm fan on hsf, ATI 9800 Pro oc'd to XT w/ Arctic Silencer.

Able run 3dmark, play games, etc, everything seems to be running fine. But according to the Abit EQ monitoring utility the readings are as followed:
-12v at 12.0v
+12v at 11.7v
VCORE at 1.8v
DDRV at 2.8v
+3.3v at 3.2v
5VSB at 4.8v
+5v at 4.9v
and then there's the ***-5v**** at 3.5v!
All readings are constant, barely any fluctuations.

Defective psu? Is there something wrong with the -5v? or is Abit EQ at fault here?
I know the best way of measuring the rails is by using a volt meter, but I don't have access to one of those.

Could be faulty readings....The +3.3v and the +5v rails are also lower....

General rule of thumb is -5% could be a real issue....

try other reading apps and see if you get the same readings...Loof at them in the bios....Basically double check and never trust just one set of readings...

Bust out your multimeter and get a real reading with a real instrument. :)

So I guess, if nothing is acting up it should be all good?

Checked bios... doesn't make any sense, the -5v reads -61.99v!

Anyone else with a similar setup?

That power supply doesn't even have a -5V rail... it isn't used anymore. You don't need to worry about that.

All your voltages are still in spec, so it shouldn't be a problem. The only good way to get a reading is with a multimeter anyways. I say if your computer works fine don't worry about it.

could be readouts.
no matter which PSU I put in my system, it ranges from 11.67 - 11.75 on the +12V rail, which is too low for me, but it won't improve even with my OCZ Modstream, so I guess everything is fine!

From the NeoPower review link below.,

In the specs listed a few pages back, you can see that Antec claims that the +5, +12 and +3.3 voltage rails will remain within +/-3% of their rated values. This means that the +5V rail will maintain a voltage between +4.85V and +5.15V, the +12V rail will maintain a voltage between +11.64V and +12.36V, and the +3.3V rail will maintain a voltage between +3.2V and +3.4V.

So if it`s stable don`t worry, remember it`s within the 3% Antec tolerance limit, then you have to add in the Abit EQ error readings as well (ie it may be out 1% or so)..

Link to the review.

problem with a multimeter is that if voltage drops for a few hundredths of a second, its enough to cause prob with a system, but not enough to show up on the meter.

But if, there isn't a problem, then, just check voltages again with the same yoots in a couple of weeks and check that nothing has changed.
if something has, then say byeeeee to the psu
