Just got a $400 ticket..

no im kidding. This really sucks though, this is the first major ticket I've ever had other than not signaling or something. I have a month from now to comply, should I wait for the lawyer mail, and just take the lowest price? I actually have 2 offenses. Speeding at 52 in a 25 and not wearing a seatbelt. Yup. Im guilty. How much do you think I would end up paying if i choose the lawyer route?

Ouch..one of my co-workers recently got busted for 115 in a 55, AND display of speed (racing). The ticket for speed in excess of 100 was a $1500. fine, and the display of speed cost him $450...in all, it was $2K by the time he paid court costs...

Whatever :roll:, I bet I'm a better driver than most here. It was on a holiday weekend on a completely empty road except me and the cop. I was on a motorcycle. I hit 130 so fast and was slowing down when I noticed the cop in the rear view mirror. There were no side roads either. Seems as I was doing the burnout and wheelie at the stoplight I was pelting hime with rocks and garbage.😀

He only wrote me for 60 in a 30 though. This was almost 20 years ago so the ticket was barely over $100.

Yea I did 104 in a 75 for a bit yesterday (luckily didn't get caught) and after seeing the ticket costs after getting caught at 80 in a 65 today I'm not driving quite that fast anymore. 😛
