Just got a 360

Well, I finally picked up a 360, I've been enjoying some worms on live and playing through Gears of War (which is nice looking, but in my opinion, a lot of the game leaves something to be desired.) Anyways, I've got a couple questions:

1.) Is it possible to system link my old xbox to my new xbox 360 and play local games 'tween the two?

2.) Any suggestions for fun local multiplayer games? I've got a group of xbox-less friends I often played with on the old xbox, I'd like to continue!

3.) Any suggestions for good "cinematic" games . . . by this I mean, I have a lady friend who doesn't like playing games, but she does like watching them if the story/graphics are good enough. She REALLY enjoyed watching Resident Evil 4, is there anything like this out on the 360 yet?

Thanks folks!

Also for anybody who's interested, my gamer tag is "Grooming Monkey" . . . don't ask.

1. No
2. There's not a whole lot of party games, but some I can think of are Halo, Rock Band, Fuzion Frenzy, and the Burger King games (lol)
3. Mass Effect would be perfect for this. Lots of nice cut scenes, and interaction with characters. COD4 would be a good candidate too.

3. Assassins Creed has some nice cinematic scenes where you can switch camera angles etc. Even when you are running away theres a "chase cam" :)

1) Do you mean like both old and new Xbox's having Halo 2 in them, and playing system link that way? I have never tried it, but I really don't see a problem in doing so... its only using your LAN right?

2) Fun multiplayer.... Rock Band if you dont mind spending a bunch, Bomberman Live is a great suggestion by nycxandy for cheap (its downloadable, dont buy Bomberman Zero, or you're gonna regret it). Marvel Ultimate Alliance is great if you like Gauntlet / Diablo style games... and of course, Halo 3

3) I'm betting Mass Effect will fit your bill here... If that's too slow paced, you may want to play Gear of War.

Bioshock is fun to watch as well. Story, and beautiful graphics. Also I'd highly recommend picking up Viva Pinata. It looks childish but offers a lot of fun and variety, and I can guarantee your GF will want to play.

Thanks for the advice! Any thoughts on Oblivion? Does it have a flowing storyline, or is it more like, "few minutes of story, walk and kill enemies for 20 minutes, another few minutes of story, etc."

Oh, and does anybody know if it's possible to add tracks to an album after you've already created it? I've tried just giving the new tracks the same album name, but it just creates a duplicate album.

Thanks!

I don't think the story flows all that well. And since the damn Oblivion Gates are so incredibly repetitive, it takes a lot away from the main story since you feel like you're grinding more than anything else.

Yeah, I think the sidequests (Fighters, Wizards, Thieves, etc) are actually more fun than the main storyline.

Damn... I only finished the main quest after 25 hrs of play and haven't even touched any of those other ones... and it doesn't look like I will for awhile

possible hijack: anybody use their xbox 360 for anything cool (ie media center), or just play games?

It makes a nice heater in the winter time.

It's also really good at drowning out noise when you put something in the dvd drive. :D
