What about the 3.0C? How much additional headroom over the 2.8C. Don't consider the cost.

Jondbold,
How you get the problems worked out. I'm planning on building a system very similar to yours. Is the Raptor really that noisy? I was considering getting one myself. Also, how do you like the Zalman CNPS 7000- CuAL?
stardust,
Thanks for the feedback. Do you think the extra 110 mhz is worth $130?

I have a 2.8c (SL6WJ) on a IC7-G (latest bios) with Corsair 3200 at 2-3-3-6 settings, 1.675 CPU voltage and I'm running "rock solid" at 3508.0 Mhz. I'm using Swiftech H2O cooling. By "rock solid" I refer to games that I play. Prime95 only lasts about 12 hrs. at this speed, but several days at 3400 mhz. I haven't pushed any higher on games yet, as I'm waiting to overclock further until I relocate my radiator to a better spot. Memory and voltage were the settings I had to use to get to 3400mhz stable under Prime95, and I haven't played with them under game testing. I was running in the high 40's under my Prime95 test, but this machine is still in my garage, not air conditioned.
I'd like to hit 3.6, but 3.5 isn't too shabby for a game system...
