just found this out about winamp 3

i finally downloaded the winamp3 beta version (with that killer corneramp skin) and so far i have to say i love it--
i could have sworn it sounded better than winamp 2.7.. but i saw this in the winamp 3 faq.

Mebbe the EQ or something else is on by default in WA3? I knew they used the same good decoding engine... so I haven't bothered to switch, I like my 2.X skin.

Yes, the first thing I noticed when using Winamp3 was the major difference in soundquality. A much richer sound.

i think the its definitely sounds different, especially @ higher bit rates

i got rid of the beta because it wouldn't let me edit tags and the EQ presets didn't work yet. waiting for the full version
