So, I went to visit my friend's mistress who claimed she was pregnant. She invited me in willingly (thinking I brought hush money...haha). We sat there for a bit. I knew she was getting uncomfortable. So, while there, I decided to ask her why I see so many older Puerto Ricans walking with canes. I asked her if it was a fashion statement or something cool. She laughed and said it had something to do with diabetes and blood in their legs. Apparently, Puerto Ricans eat a lot of starch (rice, potatoes, banana, plantain, etc...). Worse, they don't wash the rice before cooking it. This leads to diabetes. You would think that this would lead to some PSA in Puerto Rico or something. This conversation somehow lead to her family history and, finally, why many Latinas dressed as sluts. She said that was a false perception and that Latinas are usually docile because the man is a powerful figure in the household. She said what I was seeing was some sort of slut/virgin complex/dichotomy or whatever. Our conversation relaxed her quite a bit and she started to open up and even offered me food. I declined. I then came back to the reason for my trip.
As I was leaving I noticed a roach was also leaving. He was leaving his way and I was leaving my way. The roach noticed me by stopping abruptly and sticking its antennas up. He then continued on his way. I let out a large laugh, which startled the mistress. Then I left.
