True. Many people don't have both parents still happily married, so in that respect you're better off than a sizable chunk of society

I know lots of people who have unwed parents, and they are still happily living together. That's more than you can say for about 75% of parents out there, who are either divorced or are togther and miserable. If I were you I'd be happy that your parents are in the minority that is still together, happily. If you think about it, does their lack of an "official" marriage have any bearing on you? It has more of an impact on them that on you, and that is only with regards to legal issues such as health care, property, etc.
