Its insane because he's the smallest person in his platoon. I dont think he weighs more than like 115-120 (im dead serious) and is like 5'7-5'8... the pack he carries is like the same weight he is. But he's made it through boot camp so Im praying that he can get through this too.

Encourage him to hit the weights hard and eat a lot of food while he's there. If he's that small now, he has the potential to lose even more weight unless he works on bulking up. He should have plenty of time to hit the weights, even if it's lifting crates or something.

He got time off for Xmas and such, and then had a bout of something involving his stomach. Doctors couldnt figure it out so he lost even more weight. We all think its just nerves for going back. He will probably bulk up like you said while he's there though. But yeah, now that hes going to get shipped out, im worried about him.
