Just found out about another shortcut in IE

i use a T42 laptop that only has IE5.5 (managed pc), and my logitech laptop cordless doens't have a back or forward button, well i was just trying to change font size just now with CTRL-SCROLL (stupid T42 only goes to 1024x768) and by mistake I did a SHIFT-SCROLL, and it happened to be a forward and back shortcut! amazing 🙂

okay maybe a lot of you know, but I don't. I use the stupid fwd/back button on the IBM laptop or ALT-> or ALT<-

anyway. that is all. confirm if it works in firefox if you can. 😀

works in firefox...

sounds like a bad idea to begin with - does scrolling one not go back one page? So if you miss it, it will do back X times?

this is pretty neat. i use FF at home. and a lot of times i go crazy on the back button when im trying to go back (and a lot of redirected pages wont work if you're not quick enough) so this shift-scroll thing would definitely come in handy

of course i know about the drop down history, but who has the time to move the mouse up there? 😛

well, i guess it would suck if you have the MS intellimouse with the smooth-scrolling

In firefox, hold down the right mouse button and scroll up to switch through your tabs or scroll down to scroll through your back/forward history. (this could be a function of All-In-One Gestures, not sure)

anything with right click-drag are probably a function of gesture extensions?

Just checked it using my laptop's scroller on the mousepad, and it does not work, so it must be a fucntion of the plug in.

the T42 has a browser-page forward and back button... the 2 gray buttons on either side of the regular arrow keys.

Just checked both Firefox and Opera... right-click + scroll up or down just goes through the tabs, not page-forward / page-backward.

What's gimping you the most is using IE. I can't live without mouse gestures anymore... hold right-click + move left/right and you're back/forward is there for you.
