Hey everyone,

I just formatted and installed windows. Upon getting into Windows, I realized that it installed it as "I:" instead of "C:".

Now I have my 74gb Raptor as primary. A 300gig (from hotdeal) that hasnt been formatted yet. I also have a CDRW and DVDRW. In Computer Management > Disk Management there are 8 items, my 2 harddrives, cdrw and dvdrw and 4 that are "removeable Disk 2-Disk 5".

When I click on the properties for these, it says "SMSC U HS-SM USB Device
" for each. I do have a 2405fpw monitor that has all those USB ports, but would that really cause this problem? How can I get my primary raptor (i: right now) successfully as C: without messing Windows up? any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Edit: In Disk Management I tried changing drive letter and it said "Windows cannot modify the drive letter of your system volume or boot volume."

1) unplug the USB card reader and/or the monitor's USB.

2) unplug all PATA hard drives

3) start Windows Setup, delete all partitions on the SATA drive, then press F3 twice to EXIT from Windows Setup.

4) start Windows Setup again, with the SATA drive as the HDD (or USB drive) on the system, and carry on.
