I'm not much of a multiplayer sort of guy, but I definitely plan on giving it a shot (after I'm done playing through CoH singleplayer - I picked up the Gold edition the other day, great bargain for someone like me who has never played it before)
I was tempted by WiC but opted for CoH.
Relic are just the best when it comes to RTS games, reminiscent of early Westwood Studios imo.
After playing CoH with the cover and stuff, I am supremely excited for Dawn of War 2... especially as Ive just purchased another 3 Omnibuses and Titanicus by Dan Abnett to add to my Black Library collection.
Which books did you pick up? I'm ready to start reading those novels but don't want to start off on the wrong foot and become disinterested.
Its a case of avoiding C.S.Goto really. Avoid him like the plague.
I will mark off a few books which I have read and what faction they cover:
Eisenhorn Omnibus - Dan Abnett - Follows an Inquisitor as he attempts to uncover and root out the suspicions of taint and chaos.
Ravenor, Ravenor Returned, Ravenor Rogue - Dan Abnett - Follows an Inquisitor that you meet in Eisenhorn and as such, I would read Eisenhorn first.
Ultramarines Omnibus - Graham McNeill - Follows several Space Marines of the Ultramarines, taking a couple of unusual twists and presenting a thrilling read.
Gaunts Ghosts series (11 books to date or several Omnibuses) - Dan Abnett - An absolutely fantastic series following the Imperial Guard squads of Gaunts Ghosts of Tanith during the Sabbat Worlds crusade. I cannot recommend this series highly enough, especially if you are an Imperial Guard fan.
Titanicus - Dan Abnett - Very recent release, Titanicus covers a Forge World under siege by the forces of Chaos during the Sabbat Worlds crusade. Some small tie-ins with Gaunts Ghosts.
Books which I bought the other day and havent read yet:
Space Wolf Omnibus - Covers 3 books on the Space Wolves Space Marine Chapter.
Soul Drinkers Omnibus - Covers 3 books on the Soul Drinkers Space Marine Chapter.
Ciaphas Cain Omnibus - Covers 3 books covering a well respected, high ranking officer Ciaphas Cain from the Imperial Guard.
Series which people are really enjoying right now:
Horus Heresy - Various - Covering the early Chapters, Primarchs and the corruption of a large part of the Imperium of Man which lead to the 41st Millenium. Many books in this series and I am not sure if it has been concluded yet.
Worthy of note:
Titan: God-Machine - Various - A comic book following a Titan and its crew through various campaigns. Very good for the giant robot lover inside.
I hope this helps and my apologies for some sort of hijack.
