I used to joke that it'll be a cold day in hell before they release this on DVD, and prayers be answered, it happened!!! (the dvd came out, hell didn't freeze over)

Not only is the transfer QUITE respectable, but the deleted scenes and commentary are AWESOME!

I'm tellin ya, worth EVERY PENNY of the $9.99 i paid for it @ deepdiscountdvd.com!

UHF is Weird Al's movie. It rocks, I own the VHS tape and just bought the DVD. It rocks even more. Now I can watch scenes whenever I want.

OR GO FOR WHAT'S IN THE BOX THAT HIRO-SAN is BRINGING DOWN THE AISLE!
 
It's a great little comedy. In addition to all us Al-aholics, Fans of Michael Richards (Kramer on the "Seinfeld" show) should not miss this one.

"UHF" was filmed in and around my hometown (Tulsa, Oklahoma,) and I had the pleasure of watching Weird Al and Michael Richards shoot a scene. The whole crew appeared to be having a great time, and everyone was very, very laid-back and cheerful. Rumor had it that some of our legendary Oklahoma Red smokin' matter was in use by all (which may also explain why Weird Al has said in an interview that he can barely remember having made this movie.)
 
i remember going to see this movie with my mom and being the only ones in the theatre besides 2 stoned and drunk guys about 12 rows in front of us, GREAT memorys
 
I just picked this up on DVD myself. Haven't had a chance to view it yet (the DVD version that is), but I already love the movie so I'm excited. 😀

Shame that it doesn't have more recognition, I feel it deserves it.
 
I can't believe more people haven't seen this...Actually I can considering Orion went out of business and it stopped being printed in 1996. I bet all of the people that are selling on e-bay aren't getting $40 for it anymore. Those of you who haven't seen it have to buy it.

I haven't seen it in any stores which isn't surprising considering we only have a Wal-Mart here. But I know more places than deepdiscountdvd.com have it. Deepdiscountdvd.com probably has the best price though.
