I get the part that Travolta's character kills someone and becomes the dead person, but that's about it...

Why did Travolta's chacater kill Ginger? I thought she was killed after he became suspicious of her, but someone else her took her place right? Cause the nude scene was to demonstrate she wasn't DEA. But I thought Travolta's char is a good guy?

I though the hacker killed Travolta in the end? He was in the plane wasn't he?

Who exactly is Travolta's character anyway?
 
*sigh* *********Spoilers*************8 below just in case you haven't seen it.

















Travolta had a dead (mossad agent I belive it was) in his basement that he'd altered his face to look like.
He put the dead mossad agent on the choper (but wasn't on it himself) that stan blew up so they'd find the body in the wreckage, stan would identify him, and it would look like he died in the explosion.
Ginger didn't really die. It was staged.
There was really no reason for him to "kill her". Just another interesting little twist.
Nobody took her place, same chick all along.
I'm not sure who Travolta's character is supposed to be affiliated with (except for that senator) but he's basicly a guy waging his own war against the terrorists that would wage war against us.

I hope I covered all of it.
 
But I thought I saw Travolta's char go into the helicopter.. If he didnt, wouldnt the hacker have see him?

But he did. When Stan was in the morgue id'ing Gabriel's body he had a flashback. He saw Gabriel running down steps behind the helicopter.

If you want confusing, watch John Travolta's latest movie, Basic (now out on DVD).

I'd say the reason was to make it seem as if she were dead, because she didn't have a dead body double like Travolta's character did.
 
One more thing, was the chopper carrying the bus supposed to crash into the building? If not, where was it going to go? Or was it all staged?

Oh, and were the rockets in the bus intended for the hacker to use?
