Just finished Tomb Raider Def Edition wow 8)

This is the 1st time I've played Tomb Raider (I skipped last gen - I know sue me), & just finished the ending yesterday.

What a game! I did hear about the alternate ending though, and I feel like that would have better kept a memory in my head.

Also the graphics are stunning, the way Lara's hair moves is just fantastic.

Yep, it was my favorite game of 2013.

I'm not sure why they felt that it needed the silly MP part, but the single player is fantastic.

I really enjoyed the PS3 version, but some performance issues held it down a bit for me. FPS in certain scenes dropped into the teens...

Playing on the PS4 was awesome. Rock solid FPS that basically stayed in the mid 40s the whole time, 1080p, nice visual improvements (better textures, fancy hair, improved lighting effects, etc). I loved it! And the DS4 really was much more enjoyable to use than other controllers I played the game with previously.

No idea why some people in the press had the pitchforks out for Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. It was a really solid port of a fun game!

How do you tell what framerate the PS4 is running at?

You can't without custom software to analyze the frame output. There is no FRAPS for console.

You can always guess or just go by what eurogamer reports (which is what most people do).

The only bad thing IMO about the definitive edition is the slightly lower resolution textures as compared to the PC version of the game and they redesigned Lara's character model. I prefer how she looked in the original release last year. They made her look more plastic now with doll eyes. I prefer the old model myself.
