Just got off the phone with a company. As he read my resume, he kept saying " thats good", "thats great", just good thing in general. but in the end he said, i still want to talk to a few more people and narrow it down to 2 or 3.

I was wondering, will the interviewer ever say anything negative during an interview, or will they just "pretend" that they like you just to give u hope??

This will be my first internship, so i am excited about it althought it is just an IT tech support.

anything i should start paying attention to? heres the job description.

Seeking 1 Junior/Senior working toward an IT related degree. Will work as a team to provide outstanding customer service and support to 110+ users daily. Must be knowledgeable in Window XP, basic networking (TCP/IP) skills, basic troubleshooting skills, and great customer service. Knowledge of netware/Novell client a plus. May occasionally work on documentation, inventory, and assist in miscellanous projects.

Think thats a good start?? i figure a average internship is better then no internship at all

That's pretty standard. You had some good things which he pointed out, but he probably wants to see where you stack up against the rest so he probably doesn't know. They aren't allowed to tell you one way or another whether or not you're the one.

Your rejection letter could take anywhere from a week to 6 months to arrive, if they even bother to send one.

j/k, good luck. :)

10/ hr? I made that much from my internship in HS. You're getting way underpaid if you take that position....

Possibly the most important question to ask at ANY interview where they allow you to ask questions (most proper interviews encourage you to ask questions):

Do you have any hesitations about my abilities to do this job? and do it well? Many times it is harrd to get in the employers mind, and he/she may think something incorrectly and this is a great way to brign those issues out.

No he's not. Most internships are minimum wage or free. $10 is what I got doing the same stuff as an intern. It's good money for a college student that could otherwise be working at Blockbuster or Pizza Hut.

well this company isn't exactly fortune500, so i am not too worried about how much they pay me. I am in my junior year right now and need some kind of work experience, so i think 10 isn't too bad. There are alot of people interning for free, so something is better then nothin, plus experience is my main objective.

those are good questions. I also ask sometimes "how do I compare with what you would consider the ideal candidate for this job?"
