Nice setup. Hows the temps? Is that a 80mm to 92mm fan adapter for the radiator? Looks like it is holding up a lot of weight. Sturdy?

Yea it is crowded, but it's the best I can do.

The fan adaptor is 80mm to 120mm. Case is Lian-Li PC65B. :)

Temps are 23degrees idle, 27 degrees load on Prime95 50% CPU load.

Guess what's holding the radiator w/ fan? Stock plastic lian-li push pins :) :) sturdy as heck

Looking good. I am starting my first real H2O setup and don't know how you guys deal with 1/2" tubing as this 3/8" is enough to handle and put where I want. Nice job!

Wow, that tubing is HUGE! :Q I will be building an air-cooled rig in a PC65B next month. It'll be an A64 rig too.

That's the radiator sticking out the back, right? Why mount it outside? I would be afraid of it getting hit and bumped and such out there.

I had no choice but to put it out there. It would pump into the PSU if it was inside and there was no way it could've fit on the inside top part of the case.. Lukily the temps are very good right now so I guess having the Rad on the outside does benefit somewhat. I guess I just have to be careful moving it around! No LAN parties for this comp!

A tip for those going into water cooling: If your buying a hydor pump, be sure to buy a step-up AC power converter as those pumps use european 240V power. There is an american version, but I guess I wasn't lucky enough to get one.

that is a very nice case and an excellent setup. So I take it we are looking at roughly the A64 3400 - 3500+ here with 2.4ghz and 512mb cache? That's awesome. I bet you wish your motherboard had a working AGP/PCI lock so you could take this bad boy higher.

With a memory lock @ 200mhz I was able to achieve 2.4ghz, but right now I'm running into memory problems (maybe compatibility) maybe someone can help out? the thread is here

If you went pump>rad>CPU>res then you could shorten the hose, and get the coolest water to your processor.
Otherwise, I'm jealous!!

One other thing.

Where did you get the allthread that long? I need some since my rad will be held on by to plastic mounting strips unless I find any.

The direction is Rad>Rez>Cpu>pump>Rad

Thnks for the comment, what do you mean by allthread?

Maybe I'm mistaken. Are those just longs screws with nuts holding your rad/fan/shroud together?

All thread is like a screw/bolt, but it has no head(hence all thread).

Thanks

Yeah, the screws are 4 3inch long headed screws. 2 are holding the shroud to the rad and 2 are holding the fan to the shroud and to the fan adaptor. You can, however get longer screws at a local home hardware shop.

If your going water cooling i suggest you get eheim pump, this hydor has given me the most problems out of the entire water cooling system. It sometimes stops pumping water for no reason at all, even when nothing is clogging it. Right now its working fine though, mysteriously cured itself.
