Just Finished first case mod!!!

Just finished installing my fans. i installed 3 120mm fans 1 Y.S tech 131 CFM and 2 sunon 108 CFm ( like the sunons cause they came with molex connectors allready set up. really liked that) anyway i have the 2 sunons blowing in on the side and teh Y.S tech blowin in on the bottom front. these things move some serious air!! also have a 80 mm papst for exaust and my PSU fan also. still have to cut the blow hole for the 92 mm papst i have. ill probilly do that later this week.

I did all the drilling on a drill press / lathe. we didnt have a hole saw big enuff for the 120mm holes so we used a 4 inch one and then bored out the rest of the hole. and then groung it nice and smooth. also had to cut one of the HD cages like This in half so the fan would fit in the front of the comp.

it went really well now my XP 1700 @1570 is runnin at 38C idle and 44 load. gonna push it some more a lil later. and then maby cut me a window and install some leds or a cathode dont really know yet

i used a 4in hole saw hooked up to a big drill press/mill and then i used the mill to boar out the rest of the hole because 120mm is actually 4.7 or so inches. i clamped the pannel onto the mill with some T-bars. and it went really smoothely. trhen i used a grinding tool on the mill to make the edges smooth.
i cut the hole in the front the same way with the 4in hole say but i didnt boar it out because the fan is not directly behind it. the fan is inside the case the grill is just there for looks and to hold the filter. i will drill the hole in the top the same way.

if i decide to cut a window ill probilly drill a good size starting hole then use a band say for that.

just cut the blow hole and installe a papst 92mm in there. still need to get a grill for it but i dont want to pay 7$ shipping feom newegg for a 2$ grill. so ill think im gonna make one myself. anyway temps are so low now
