My ISP started throttling BT bringing it to a crawl. Had no choice but to figure out Newsgroups; thankfully they have access. Wow:thumbsup:

Rogers. I liked BT quite a bit. Throttling BT is becoming quite popular in The Great White North.

my ISP's really stingy. caps BT upload at around 20 kb/sec (worse in some areas) and has a 20GB-30GB (depends on area) up/down combined monthly limit

the alternative has a 6gb monthly cap :( they don't enforce it but you never know when they decide otherwise

Rogers has finally admitted to using Ellacoya boxes that throttle BT and other P2P(DC++)and bringing them to a crawl on heavily loaded nodes. My BT was fine until about 6 weeks ago. Now it's like 20KB at best.
