I think I am going to take that stupid test last. So much crap was in there that wasn't in any books or training. Usual MS bullsh!t.

Yeah, that's harder than Pro and Server... but you should always read more than one book for the material.

What books did you study from?

get a real network. thats what i plan on doing. have a job, saving my money to buy 3 more comptuers, and set up my own domain and practice like that along with books. troy tech and other braindumps, use as a tool, not as a main study guide.

we could have an ATOT study group via AIM or some other IM service and have threads and help each other out, I need to study up on 2k3 for the next gen tests and re-cert.

SQL '03 is supposed to be out late this year. I'll need to bone up on that once it gets released.

you might save some money - and electricity and space/clutter with wiring, heat, noise if you get a PC with a gig of memory, and install VMware software, do 'virtual' networking.

Yup. Good ol' MCP exams. I almost failed the Windows XP one because my test particularly focused on setting up print jobs and proper priorities on a network without a server. I had to guess through scenarios that I don't think any companies implement.

i.e. Why would a manager want to share a printer with the rest of the staff when he knows that his company requires a lot of printing? Supposedly, Windows XP was so great that I should configure a higher priority for the manager rather than buying the manager a new printer. 🙂

Nonetheless, I think I passed it with a 80% or so. Somewhere around there. I have the sheet somewhere.

Where can I get some free test simulators, online preferrably. I'm getting 505 errors every time I try to get any of the Skill Drill tests.

SQL '03? The latest release is SQL Server 2k 64-bit, out in March 28th I believe. The next release of SQL Server is "Yukon", due out in '04 along with Visual Studio.NET '04. It'll probably be called SQL Server 2k4.... how original.

I heard it was the hardest exam out of all of the MCSE ones.
Actually one of my coworkers here printed out an article saying that 70-224 (Exchange 2000) is probably the hardest exam you'll ever have to take. Recommended that you have at least 3 months of hands on experience before you even attempt to take it. Not what I needed to hear heh. I'm about to take 70-218... then 70-224 is next for my MCSA.
