bahh easy :)

I was just listening to one 3d teacher who puts his students through "THE LOCKDOWN" basicly he locks the building at 18:00 friday and gives them a huge assignment that must be done by 18:00 sunday. So everyone has to work all the time without hardly any sleep. Whats more is that he often came and checked on the students at the middle of the night and woke everybody up and told them to continue working.
Then on sunday, no one has finished and everyone hoping they can go home now, but now he now says that they have untill 9:00 Monday to finish it so everyone must get back to work.

Think he said one student had to go the hospital after one of these lockdowns :)

Thats it?!?! I would get at least 14 hours of work every weekend during high school. I got used to it really quick.

I'm sure some folks here have Calculus while attending Mark Keppel.
Kimura was just evil. Tons of work over vacations... at least it worked. Got 5's on both AP Calculus tests.
Don't remember much about calculus though being 4 years in college now...

So don't do it. I've never seen an AP class in which you could pass the AP and still fail the class. I got a 4 on my AP stats test and I never even went to class. I got a C+ in the class or something. High school was easy.

What??? Is this high school or college?? Must be high school and he must have gotten parents permission other wise if its college would have dropped this class and any normal person would drop it and take it with another teacher. If this is high school then parents either went along with it or he should have been arrested for false imprisonment

This is not bad. Used to have teacher that would give us this kind of assignment especially over this kind of breaks but you would have to spend good 20 hours or so to complete it and also he would make it due on the day you come back and it would be worth allot of points so you couldn?t just decide not to do it if you wanted to pass the class

They have AP stat in HS now? 10 hours over a week is like nothing. And if the teacher says 10 hours, that probably only means 2 hours for the average person here (assuming they even do it, if not it means 15 minutes of mad-dash scrambling as you copy off of other people on the morning after spring break when this is due).

In any case, you should try learning the stat stuff, it's very usefull. It's amazing how many people I've worked with who don't know the difference between a F test and a t test :)
