Just dug out an IBM M-13 mechanical trackpoint II keyboard.

And lovin' it!

Had to get a PS/2 to USB adaptor for it to plug into the front of my newer PC. (Still have other PS/2 keyboard plugged into the PS/2 plug on the back of the computer.)

Noticed that the trackpoint cover will need replacing sometime soon. I found Lenovo.com sells a collection of six trackpoint caps for $9.99 online.

My typing has already improved, IMHO.

Dude that is awesome, I wish I had one of those things. Every time a nice mech keyboard pops up I get the urge to buy it....but unfortunately my wallet disagrees

I have two Unicomps and I love them. I also have a 92 IBM Model M. I change them up periodically. A buckling spring board is the best. I prefer them to all other switches.

Well, my bliss was short-lived. Apparently, there is a intermittent break in the cord somewhere, probably near where it plugs into the keyboard. I always wondered why they used a stiff flat cable, that was coiled, rather than a rounder cable that wasn't coiled.

Might have to order one of those unicomp keyboards after all.
