Just drove an SRT-4....

I've driven every SRT vehicle other than the Viper (including the SRT-10 Ram) so far...that's quite the fleet they've got going there. I really don't know if I could stand that interior day in and day out, but for a few minutes at a time, the SRT-4 is a fun little sucker.

😉

esp. at 185k miles.

Ah, so an old Grand Prix. That's when you sell it and buy the car you want.

can't afford it 🙁

I am only a seinor in high school, and no money for insurance on a car in college, so I am going to beat this thing to death then get a motorcycle or something.

wow i didnt know that pontiac had 6 digit odometers....

and it still hasn't had a major repair. Same engine, same transmission (fluid is black.. I gotta fix that). AC works, all electronics work. Rocker panels have a little rust. I am suprised it survived this long.

Sell it for what? A Pontiac with 185K miles is worth less than a full tank of gas. Might as well drive it into the ground. If it were mine I'd probably start experimenting with things like never changing the oil, in an effort to accelerate its death.

EDIT: I didn't know the OP was this young. Baby that GP and hopefully you'll get another year or two out of it!

sad thing is I am getting new shocks for it (150 bucks) so I can finish the engine and transmission off. It is only a '98 Prix too.

Meh, Neons are just ugly. The Ugliest car on the road. 😉

A GTP Grand Prix would spank it everytime, and look better while doing it.

I don't know... that neon is hella quick. And do teh GTPs even come w/ manual?

0-60 for GTP is 6.6s, SRT4 is 5.6. Little neon > a Prix.

It's still a Neon. A Neon that goes, but still a just Neon that'll be dead within 5 years or nickel and dime you to death after warranty runs out.
