I accidentally deleted an older tv show off my tivo that I hadnt seen yet. I was able to find it online and downloaded it to view. After it was done I loaded it up on WMP and cant get any video just audio. It says "downloading codec" but I dont think WMP has the right one.

Is there any generic codec that I can get that can play everything. I had an old divx codec I used but cant find it right now. I did a divx search on google and got tons of pop ups and shady looking software.

Thanks!

The weird thing about codec packs is that they look like shady software.

CCCP

It plays EVERYTHING

whats cccp?

Its a stripped down codec pack that will play 99.9999~ of all media known to man in a very lightweight MPC.

I would prefer to play it in WMP rather then having another player (VLC). Does CCCP do that and where can I get it from?

And MPC > WMP

No Idea why anyone would use WMP, bloated POS.

Try anything you want.

I still recommend MPC though

^ does it include the latest divx encoder too so I can do vids ?

I've been comfortable with klite codec pack thus far but if this does that encode and plays everything at the same time, I'll give it a whirl.
