Just downloaded 3 megs in just under 5 seconds

From microsoft.com. Has been the first chance I've had to download from a site with good bandwidth with my upgraded SBC DSL.

Provided one isn't into porn, what are some good ways to utilize mammoth download speed like this? Waiting another day for my new motherboard to arrive before I can play some online games.

What SBC DSL package you use?

I have the expert package for 5 Mbps download and 512kbps upload. I don't think there is one for 20~30Mbps which is what your connection speed seem to indicate.

there is no way a 10mbit connection can get a 12.2 mb file in one second. 10mbit = 1.25megabyte != 12.2

Heh, actually I am, but that's got nothing to do with the school. CU is like 25,000 undergrads, and has a huge engineering dept. but that's only about 5,000 undergrads.

20 seconds for me after FINALLY getting a speed increase from 640k to 1.5m on stupid qwest dsl. Took 4 weeks to finally get it after it became available.
