Just downgraded my keyboard.

Typing this on an IBM AT keyboard from around 1986 or so

The machine it's hooked up to is a XP 2200+ 1gig ram...

The clicking of these keys is so, so... satisfying 😀 I highly recommend picking one of these up, but be careful cause they weigh around 8 or 9 pounds. 🙂

Now i have to find a way to map one of these keys as the windows key, anyone know how I could do this? Maybe i'll finally find a use for the scroll lock key.

Hehe... it's not just a typing instrument... it's also a Kricket BAT :Q

Speaking of IsaSlots, I still use my SCSI Printer and US Robotics 56K ISA cards... THEY RULE 😀
ISA 4 3V4 🙂

The good ol' mechanical action IBMs are better made than anything around now, they just drive anyone near the computer nuts with the clicking and all.

ctrl+esc brings up the start menu, not sure about the other Win-key + X combinations...

I was using a logitech wireless keyboard, downgraded it to a belkin keyboard(FAR). much better for gaming

I love my old IBM Model M. I need to get another one though since it's curently part of my IBM PS/2 and I don't want to break up the matching set.

In case anyone is interested, I found a free program that can remap keys in win 2000 and xp.

My scroll lock key is now my windows key, and my ctrl and caps lock keys are switched. If the program had a scan code for the sys req key, then that would be perfect, but apparently newer keyboards have that key combinded with the print screen key.

My last quality keyboard died last year. My son is using the only remaining one, and he won't give it up. I'm getting along well enough with these newfangled Microsoft keyboards. They actually have a nice touch.
