wow. you know whats interesting? i've dropped my ipod in the toilet.

see, i was holding it one hand changing the song while i held my hoohoohilly in the other, and SOMEHOW, i lost my grip of it, and it tumbled towards the yellowing abyss. it bounced on the porceline edge, with the headphones cord keeping it precariously balanced, and for one fateful instant, it looked as if it wouldn't go in. but of course it did. my first reaction was to loudly shout "OH FVCK!" followed by a moment of pause as i debated whether to grab it or flush the toilet. so i grabbed it before i flushed. i should note that during this moment of pause, i did happen to notice that it was still on while in the yellow pond. as i picked it up (by the corner, with two fingers) i watched as a small stream of (well, mostly) water poured out of the firewire port (it was a first gen), and it promptly turned off.

but, thankfully, i was able to dismantle it and let it dry, and it was good as new! but it smelled a little bit, so i used some alcohol to clean it a bit.
