Just discovered PointClick - should I cancel/return stuff I've bought recently?

It's been a LONG time since I considered myself part of the Hot Deals community - actually, I thought I'd been banned from here, but discovered today that my login started working again - so if the rules have changed or I make a faux pas, tell me.

Anyway, one of the first things I heard about since deciding to get back in "the biz" was PointClick. Now, just last week I bought about a combined $1000 from Onvia and Muskin. Both are PointClick vendores, and both offer money-back guarantees with no restocking fees (AFAIK).

So...should I return this stuff and then buy again (a discreet amount of time later) so I can get $100 refund from PointClick?

Richard Berg, what you intend to do seems pretty unethical. This is not a hot deal folks, but a snarf here asking for community approval to pull one over on a company. Any more such postings promoting such practices will get you an exit from these forums!

One thing you might want to know is that Onvia has been (temporarily or permanent? i dunno) from PointClick's site. I'd say if you can get the reimbursement from Muskin, go for it. PointClick is very reliable.

'Bout a month ago I e-mailed Pointclick to ask why Mushkin appeared on their reimbursement form but not under their computers/electronics section. They replied that Mushkin was no longer participating in Pointclick but that they were still listed on the reimbursement from to allow folks that had purchased from Mushkin via Pointclick within the last fifteen days while Mushkin *was* still a Pointclick participant to submit their reimbursement requests.

Onvia may no longer be a Pointclick participant. I received an error trying to submit a reimbursement request for purchases made from Onvia by way of Pointclick late last month. As have these folks:

Umm...Richard you might be banned again soon. It's ticks off the mod god when you talk about ripping off companies.

They work with vendors to offer discounts (via reimbursements); they have other ways to make money as well.

I just bought the Plextor 12x CDR from Onvia, but PointClick JUST BEFORE I ORDERED yanked Onvia off their page. I kinda would like to have knocked another 25 bux off the price of the drive, but Onvia keeps being put up and pulled down on PointClick. I don't know what their problem is.
