Just did the brakes on the wife's 1999 GTP

Easiest brake job I have ever done. I was expecting because of the age that something would be seized. Not one thing. Slider pins came out with ease. The part I thought was going to be a bitch was the caliper mounting plate bolts (did rotors too). Those are usually quite tough to get off even on newer vehicles.

First one done in 40 min or less....second side done under 20.

Only did the front.

Nice! I might have to look at brakes on the Forester soon...I've had a slight hint of a shudder lately, and it became much more noticeable after some spirited driving the other day.

hope u used some locktite on the caliper bracket bolts :) i learned that the hard way. i just reused whatever was left on there, likely from the factory. about a week later, one of the bolts worked its way loose and fell out on the road somewhere causing the caliper to drag on the rotor. i shoulda known better, but i didnt have any loctite laying around and well, it cost me $11 for a new bolt from GM.
