Just DID fresh install on my Dell XPS M140

Hey, happy Thanksgiving everyone....

after the turkey lunch....i just decided to reinstall windows xp prof. onto my dell xps m140...so, everything went smooth and I downloaded all the driver from dell's website and installed them....and everything...really everything seemed fine except


The device manager still displays "video controller" as an unknown device...what should I do????

I already did...hmmmm....thanks for the sugg. tho...anyone else???

Is it possible that there were multiple video drivers listed for your model of laptop? I.e. the model is offered with integrated or a separate video card?

1) Uninstall the current video drivers from add or remove programs and reboot

2) Install the Intel chipset drivers and reboot

3) Install the latest 915GM graphics driver and reboot
