Well...it was on the truck *yesterday* and again today. Watch it come back and say "not due for delivery" again.

It's actually a Dell P4 2.6Ghz for my ex's father (yeah...I still help him out...he's a retired firefighter and a heckuva nice guy).

Smells like a newegg order, Fedex did that to me last time i order from them (nothing to do with newegg, just the "fedex supper saver" shipping option they use). My stuff showed up a day early but fedex would not deliver until the estimated delivery date. I think they held it just to make the "saver" delivery take longer and encourage using the regular more expensive way when in a hurry.

Whats worse is i ordered some stuff from www.musiciansfriend.com once. I work within walking distance of both the warehouse it shipped from and the main hub for the area and it still took 3 days to get here.

stop your bitching. fedex delivers according to the type of shipping that was PAID for. If you get 2 day shipping it will be 2 days, if you get 3 day shipping, it will be 3 days. See a pattern here whiny bitches?

Fvck off n00b.

I know it's super saver shipping or whatever it is but, hell, if it's *ON* the damn truck, just deliver it. Who cares if it's early?? Apparently FedEx does.

Never had that happen with Newegg shipments and their Super Saver. Stuff got here fast!

That's because they have OTHER PACKAGES on the truck moron. The driver delivers to who SHOULD BE RECEIVING their package on that day. Dipsh!t.

Fed Ex saver and newegg.com has always been great to me. The online tracking number could be a little weird though. How once it got to a NJ sort facility (where I lived) then shipped to a sort facility in Pennsylvania 200 miles in the wrong direction. However it got to me in less then 3 business days. Ordered on Thursday got it on Tuesday. So it took Friday and Monday to get it to its destination.

Either way, I always picture the opening scene of Ace Ventura when Jim Carrey kicks the box around.

And lmao @ the thought of waylman being the actual delivery guy!

i will never ship fedex because of this, unless i have to. UPS is very good about shipping FedEX on the other had...they wouldn't even let me pick the bloody thing up because it "wasn't due for delivery". i think that is just ghey.

STFU n00b! You're the dipsh!t. If FedEx is DRIVING NEAR his house with a SMALL package (i'm sure it's not THAT big) to deliver to him, why can't they just improve customer relations and DELIVER IT A DAY EARLY? I agree fully with conjur - because I've been there SEVERAL times. In fact, my dad has a package that could of made it here today, but I believe FedEx "not due for delivery"ed it....

One time when this happened to me, I asked if I could pick up the package because I had to go over to the town where the local FedEx center is. They said it was in a bin that could not be opened.... man they are lame.

another crybaby. jesus christ i hate people that think they should get something for nothing. pay for faster shipping if you want it a whole day sooner. BTW, if you can't wait 1 extra day for something, you really need to chill out. What is it that is so important that you can't wait another day for?

Let's see.... mission-critical replacement parts for a server, maybe??? And 2-day shipping from newegg is usually $15 more expensive - which is ridiculous since it realistically costs them maybe $7 more to go 2-day rather than "saver".

All my orders from newegg.com usually show up at my doorstep the day after they ship it (I am in Southern California though). If is ships Monday I get it Tuesday. The only exception to this was when I had a shipment coming in from NJ via Fed-Ex express saver, they held my other shipment (happened to be a shipment from newegg) until they were both in the same place and delivered it all on the same day.

Could it be that they are trying to deliver but don't leave it because you are not there to sign for it? Usually they leave a note on your door saying they attempted delivery and will return the following day for another attempt. Fed-Ex will not leave packages at your door unless you authorize them to do so.

Whenever they get up the energy. Really.

All of the Fedex Ground guys that I have met are lazy and deliver packages at their leisure. One of our customers had a package delivered a month after it was sent, because the delivery guy just drove around with it in his trunk the whole time until he remembered it.

Don't think my ex's dad would like that.   ;)

It's a Dell PC for my ex's father...I mentioned this in the 4th post in this thread.

I'm not in that big of a hurry.

It's just plain stupidity to put an item on a truck and then NOT deliver it!

What a waste!

And, either you're a driver for them yourself (off day? Posting from a PDA? :) ) or are employed by them. Awfully defensive of them.
