Figured I had to find a way to flex my new 1ghz@1.3gig T'bird that I got from Compuwiz1 🙂.
Think I got it all configured and everything, do I still have to wait 24hrs before joining Team Anandtech like the FAQ says?

Whats the diff. between RC5 and OGR?
Paulsons FAQ shows how to turn one off/on, but which is more important?
Thanks for the replies

Which is the most important? RC5, SETI, GF, OGR, Folding@home, groaning@home...

Depends on who you ask.

I just did the same. So do I just leave the "cow" on all the time or can I configure it to kick in like a screen saver? What other settings do I need to edit before getting my pword (besides adding the email and running a packet or two?)

Thanks!
Hydro

btw: running this on my carrot PII 400

If you do not like the cow, but want to keep running rc5 all the time, which is okay since almost every known program is compatible with it, do this:

go to your startup menu under start/programs/startup.... open up the properties for dnet and add "-quiet" (without quotes) after the command line path.

you can set it up like a screensaver by setting up any normal screensaver, select it under the display properties in the control panel. select the dnet option.

You can always load it to more machines before you get your password..🙂

OGR is a seprate thing run by distributed the dnet app can crack OGR and RC5, you have to tell it what one you want it to crack.

T-Birds are pretty good at all the various DC projects, but RC5 is getting the most attention now due to the race with the DPCs.

Hmm, thanks for the welcome, but I'm not quite part of the team yet, seem to be havin problems just finding myself on their page. The FAQ said to wait for 24hours then search for my email address, but I cant seem to find myself...

When did you first flushed? DNET was having some problem processing blocks.:|

Are you using Teamanandtech.com as proxy?

no, actually im not...basically just stuck in my email address, and enough info to get it started...been going through packets all day, not really sure when my first flush was.

Woohooo...found my account finally, now just got to figure out how to join team anandtech... 🙂
