I reloaded Windows XP Home after it became corrupted and wound up with what appears to be a dual boot screen. The hard drive is not partitioned. I edited the second option out and all is well. I was just curious as to how this happened....Thanks for the repsonse.
Sounds like you just installed a new copy into a different directory than the old copy. The bootloader sees two OS choices to boot from, and gives you the option to boot either.
I was not aware that would happen with a hard drive that was not partitioned. At any rate, I deleted the second option and all is well. Except for determining what corrupted the os in the first place. Thanks again.🙂
