Hi I was looking to make a new build and seems like major companies like Apple and Dell have switched to Btx. It was designed for better airflow and lower cpu and gpu temperature. I was just wondering why have we not seen any main stream mobos that in the btx format?

First of all we were having a major fight just to get anyone to make BTX cases in the first place and then real killing blow to BTX came with the release of the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processors with their dramatic drop in TDP. When you go from 120w to 65w TDP the chassis cooling didn’t need to be as robust of a cooling solution.
